Nihoncha Seikatsu(Japan Tea Guide) presents the “YUITO Festival 2023 in Autumn” on November 3rd (Fri) and 4th (Sat) in 2023 at YUITO, Tokyo Nihonbashi. In its fourth edition, this event will feature the “Japanese Tea Tasting Experience” and the ”Senchado” tea ceremony, known as the “Fukutoku-chaki”. In addition to these, the “World of Japanese Tea as Told by the Producers” talk event, where tea producers will share their insights.
Japanese Tea Tasting Experience
From seven different tea-producing regions, including Miyazaki, Hiroshima, Gifu, and Kyoto, the “Japanese Tea Tasting Experience” will feature a diverse range of teas. At the event, you can explore various types of teas, such as premium sencha and hojicha, while listening to the producers’ stories and dedication to their teas. Each booth will also have a wide selection of teas available for purchase, allowing you to buy your favorite teas after tasting.

Senchado Tea Ceremony “Fukutoku-chakai”
Eperience the traditional senchado tea ceremony held in the serene surroundings of Fukutoku Shrine Square, surrounded by greenery. The tea ceremony is conducted by the Oubakubaisa-ryu(school) of senchado, a tradition that evolved from the tea practices at Oubaku San Manpuku-ji Temple in Uji, Kyoto. the Tokyo branch of the Oubakubaisa-ryu will demonstrate this exquisite tea ceremony, allowing you to enjoy high-quality gyokuro and traditional Japanese sweets.
