A hideaway cafe surrounded by warmth

Amane Saryo(Sendagaya, Tokyo)

Located in Sendagi, Tokyo, Amane Saryo is a Japanese tea cafe. One of its captivating features is the retro-modern ambiance created through the renovation of an old traditional house. The presence of beautifully arranged flowers inside the cafe is also quite striking. The warmth of the wood and the gentleness of the flowers harmonize, inviting a natural and relaxing atmosphere.

The cafe spans two floors, and upon climbing the staircase, you’ll encounter a space reminiscent of an attic. There’s a comfortable tatami area for seating, along with regular tables. The cozy atmosphere makes it easy to lose track of time and linger longer than expected.

The owner of Amane Saryo hails from Shizuoka. The cafe meticulously selects tea produced in the picturesque Satoyama (mountain village) region of Shizuoka. You can enjoy tea brewed with care by the staff using traditional Japanese teapots.

In addition to their carefully selected sencha (green tea), they also recommend Shizuoka’s domestically grown Maruko black tea, famous as a historic red tea-producing region. These teas can be savored alongside seasonal tea sweets and desserts.

Amane Saryo also offers light and body-friendly meal menus along with options like ochazuke (rice soaked in green tea) for a more complete dining experience.

With its ability to gently soothe both the weary body and soul, Amane Saryo seems to be the perfect third place to unwind and enjoy a moment of tranquility.
