Cacao Hanare(Kamakura, Kanagawa)

Located in the Hase area of Kamakura City, Cacao Hanare is a specialty Japanese chocolate shop. Established in 2020 as an annex to the popular chocolate shop Maison Cacao Kamakura Komachi Store, this shop has a unique concept of combining tea and chocolate.

The concept of the shop revolves around “tea and chocolate,” proposing a new way to enjoy the combination of Japanese tea and chocolate. They offer special Japanese-style sweets that can only be found at Cacao Hanare, such as “Hanare no Monaka,” made with roasted green tea and domestically produced black tea, and Matcha Baumkuchen,” made with white chocolate and Fukuoka Yame matcha.

“Hanare no Nama Dorayaki” features a moist and fluffy cake filled with refreshing whipped cream and Hokkaido-made sweet red bean paste. It pairs wonderfully with tea. Inside the shop, they also serve tea made with carefully selected tea leaves, including gyokuro(shaded green tea) and hojicha(roasted green tea). ”Hanare no Terrine Matcha” features the finest matcha from Yame, Fukuoka, combined with chocolate terrine, creating a chocolate wagashi (Japanese confection) where matcha takes the spotlight. It beautifully blends the fragrances of matcha and chocolate.
