Enjoying seasonal sweets and matcha petit gateaux

La Boutique de Yukinoshita Kamakura(Kamakura, Kanagawa)

La Boutique de Yukinoshita Kamakura is a sweets shop located in Kamakura City. It is a new brand that opened in March 2021, branching from the well-loved “Patisserie Yukinoshita” that has been a staple in Kamakura for many years. The shop is situated along Wakamiya-Oji Avenue, leading from JR Kamakura Station to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.

The concept of the sweets is a fusion of Japanese and Western styles. You can enjoy seasonal sweets made with carefully selected ingredients from both traditions. The showcase is filled with beautifully crafted macarons. With the theme of blending Japanese and Western elements, the macarons combine Japanese ingredients such as Uji matcha, miso, and sake with French chocolate. This allows you to savor the natural flavors and delicate tastes of each ingredient.

The petit gateaux, emphasizing seasonal fruits and ingredients, are also recommended. The “KAMAKURA” has Uji matcha abundantly, offering a delightful combination of matcha, chocolate, and milk chocolate.

Furthermore, there are a variety of sweets available, including cakes with rich aromas and flavors, as well as innovative creations like “Eclairon,” which combines éclairs and macarons. Several products also incorporate matcha as an ingredient.

The cafe space inside the shop is designed with the motif of a tea room. It’s a unique and sophisticated space that reflects the concept of blending Japanese and Western elements.

For the tea menu, you can find teas that pair well with the sweets, such as Earl Grey, Darjeeling, and hojicha. We recommend experiencing the delightful pairing of sweets and tea at this one-of-a-kind establishment.
