CHA10 is an organic matcha cafe located in Shizuoka City. It’s situated about a 10-minute walk from JR Shizuoka Station.
With the theme of Delicious and Gentle to the Body, they offer matcha drinks and matcha sweets. The matcha they use is organic and cultivated in Shizuoka without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
One of the popular menu items at CHA10 is the “NITRO Matcha.” It’s a special iced matcha drink infused with nitrogen, creating a creamy foam on top. The matcha used is from Shizuoka’s Kawane region, grown in tea gardens located at an elevation of 400 to 700 meters, known as the Sky Garden. It has a fragrant and rich flavor with a refreshing finish, free from any strong bitterness.
Their healthy matcha-infused sweets are also recommended. The “Matcha Jar Cake” is a classic favorite, consisting of pound cake soaked in matcha sauce, accompanied by red beans, soy milk custard cream, and soy ice cream. They also offer vegan sweets made exclusively from plant-based ingredients, excluding eggs and dairy products. The menu is designed with a focus on being “gentle to the body.”
At the store, they sell various tea leaves and tea bags, including not only matcha but also organic sencha, hojicha, and genmaicha. One of their popular items is the “Whiskey Black Tea,” a special black tea infused in whiskey barrels, resulting in a rich and flavorful taste.
