Offering a variety of Ochawari

G.O.D(Osaka)

Located in Osaka’s Kyobashi district, G.O.D is an izakaya(Japanese pub) that specializes in offering crafted tea-infused cocktails and traditional Japanese tea. The interior design evokes the ambiance of a traditional tea room, creating a calming atmosphere that has a sense of nostalgia and warmth.

Inside the shop, they provide standing drinking spaces with tables made from Meiji-era chests of drawers, as well as counter seating. There are also outdoor seating options for those who want to enjoy their drinks and food outdoors.

G.O.D is renowned for its yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and obanzai (traditional home-cooked dishes). Their yakitori features premium ingredients such as Gaina Chicken from Mount Daisen in Tottori Prefecture and twisted chicken skewers. They pay attention to both seasoning and grilling techniques, carefully cooking the skewers over high-quality binchotan charcoal.

The menu includes recommended items like the “twisted skin” and “tail,” alongside a variety of other cuts. They also suggest trying the “Kinkan Soy-marinated,” which uses a unique part of the chicken known as “kinkan,” the pre-yolk portion of the ovary. It’s an ideal complement to their yakitori offerings.

Their specialty, the “Oita Wagyu Meat and Potato Stew,” features generous portions of succulent slices and tendons of “Oita Wagyu,” a premium beef brand from Oita Prefecture, in a rich potato stew. The tender, rare-cooked meat offers a gentle and nostalgic flavor, highlighted by a flavorful broth.

Their notable tea cocktails include options like “Matcha Gin Lemon” and “Gyokuro Mint Mojito,” with around ten choices on the menu.

They source their tea, including sencha, gyokuro, matcha, and hojicha, from tea shops and producers in Kyoto and Osaka. The focus is on creating tea cocktails that harmonize perfectly with their cuisine.

They also offer straight tea, including selections like “Asamiya Koushun” and “Karigane Hojicha.” For those who want to explore different flavors, they have a tasting set that allows guests to enjoy four different teas.
