Offering over 60 flavored Japanese tea

Ocharaka(Nihonbashi, Tokyo)

Ocharaka is a Japanese tea specialty shop located in Nihonbashi Ningyocho, Tokyo. The shop first opened its doors in Kichijoji in 2005 and expanded to Nihonbashi in 2011. In 2020, it relocated and reopened in its current location.

One of the signature products of Ocharaka is their original flavored Japanese teas. They offer over 60 varieties of tea with various flavors added to green tea, hojicha (roasted green tea), and black tea. The diverse range of tea was created by the French owner, Stephane Danton.

Imagine green tea infused with flavors like Kyoho grape, summer mandarin orange, strawberry, and La France pear. Hojicha with roasted sweet potato, chocolate mint, banana chocolate, and black sugar. Their black tea is lined up with unique flavors such as lychee, caramel, and white peach.

This flavored Japanese tea can be enjoyed not only with hot water but also with cold brewing.

In 2020, Ocharaka celebrated its 15th anniversary since its founding. To commemorate this milestone, they introduced a new product called “Instant Extract Powder Japanese Tea.” This powder is made from the extracted essence of their flavored Japanese tea, allowing anyone to easily enjoy authentic flavored Japanese tea anywhere.

In addition to its flavored Japanese tea, the store also sells standard teas such as hojicha, genmaicha (brown rice tea), and kamairi-cha (pan-fired green tea) within the shop.
