Specializing in Japanese tea, sweets and tableware

YATAGARASU(Nagoya)

YATAGARASU is a Japanese tea cafe located in Chikusa Ward, Nagoya City. It opened its doors in 2019 and is situated approximately a 7-minute walk from the Subway Fukiage Station. With the theme of “Simplifying Japanese Tea. Deliciously. Joyfully,” it offers tea and sweets from Kyoto’s Wazuka region, along with selling simple and practical tableware.

They use tea produced by tea farmers from Wazuka Town, Kyoto, known as the primary production area for Uji tea. You can choose from four distinct varieties of Sencha, including “Yabukita,” “Samidori,” “Meiryoku,” and “Yamakai.” The Sencha and Gyokuro are served using a teapot, allowing you to savor the changing flavors up to the third steeping.

High-quality Wazuka Matcha is used to create both drinks and sweets. The popular “Matcha Latte” offers an authentic taste by using freshly whisked Matcha for each serving.

Among the Matcha sweets, “Matcha Terrine” and “Matcha Pudding” stand out. The homemade “Matcha Terrine” is not only available in-store but is also sold online and is a sought-after product nationwide. It contains no wheat and is generously infused with Matcha, allowing you to fully savor the authentic flavor of Matcha.

The “Matcha Pudding” is known for its rich Matcha flavor.

Inside the cafe, you can find pottery from nearby Nagoya regions like Seto and Tajimi, including dishes and mugs suitable for everyday use.

In addition to serving tea, YATAGARASU sells tea leaves at their storefront. Be sure to enjoy their tea in the comfort of your own home.
