Delicious Matcha sweets

At Kagurazaka Saryo Honten, you can enjoy Japanese tea and sweets. A highly recommended sweet is the “Hekira,” a freshly squeezed matcha Mont Blanc. It features layers of Kyoto Uji matcha and homemade chestnut cream, providing a silky smooth texture. Using a dedicated squeezing machine, it’s carefully crafted right in front of the customers.

In addition, treats like the “Matcha and Chestnut Mont Blanc Tart” and “Freshly Baked Sweets Potato Tart” are also recommended. Don’t miss the signature “Saryo Parfait,” inspired by a Japanese garden, which includes matcha ice cream, matcha jelly, and matcha pudding, offering a variety of matcha-infused delights.

The cafe offers high-quality teas sourced from renowned tea merchants in Shizuoka, Kagoshima, and Kyoto. Their menu includes a variety of tea such as sencha, gyokuro, hojicha, and black tea, each highlighting the unique characteristics of these three tea-producing regions. Teapots are provided for brewing, allowing you to savor the changing flavors over multiple infusions. With each sweet, you can choose a tea that pairs well with it. Exploring the combination of sweets and tea is a delightful experience.
